What is CBD?
CBD (also known as cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid compound found in the cannabis plant. There are hundreds of cannabinoids found in cannabis, but the two most common you’ll hear of are CBD and THC. Unlike THC which gives users a stoned feeling, CBD won’t make you high. So, it can provide users with all the potential health benefits of cannabis without the high or can be used to lessen or to balance the psychoactive effects of THC.
The therapeutic benefits of CBD are still being researched, however there are numerous anecdotal stories on how CBD has provided people with relief for anxiety, inflammation, headaches, and chronic pain among other things.
